The event will take place from August 20 to August 22, 2027

The trail running event is organized and hosted jointly by the tourism associations on both sides of the Arlberg.

At the Arlberg Ultra, participants can choose from a variety of distances: 100 K, 80 K, 60 K, 40 K, 25 K, and 10 K. The courses follow the Arlberg Trail long-distance hiking route, combining a athletic challenge with the unique alpine landscape of our region.In 2027, the finish line for all races will be in Lech; in 2028, it will be in St. Anton am Arlberg. After that, the finish locations will alternate annually.

The starting locations vary depending on the distance and are either in St. Anton am Arlberg or Lech. The Arlberg Ultra is an event that is a perfect fit for our target audience and further highlights the importance of summer in the Arlberg region.

As a new highlight on the summer event calendar, this event will provide a significant boost to the region’s positioning as an Alpine outdoor and trail running destination.

Hiking

Welcome to your personal hiking Eldorado. Explore picturesque paths that lead you through blooming alpine meadows and dense forests. From leisurely walks to challenging mountain tours, there is something for every hiker. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, the breathtaking views and stop off at rustic huts to sample Tyrolean delicacies. Adventurers can embark on via ferrata tours or a tour to the Valluga peak. Either way - simply discover the beauty of the Tyrolean Alps on foot just the way you like it!

Whether you prefer mountain biking or road cycling, our region offers a wide variety of routes to suit every skill level. Explore diverse trails, leisurely bike paths, and challenging downhill runs. The mountain railways will transport your bike to make spectacular descents easier. The breathtaking mountain scenery and fresh Alpine air make every tour an unforgettable experience. Paradise for children

Action-packed fun, adventure hikes, wildlife spotting and a wide range of playgrounds playgrounds - there's always something on offer here. So children of all ages are guaranteed boredom is guaranteed.

Legendary Verwall

For adventurers young and old - the car-free Verwall adventure valley not far from the center of St. Anton offers a wide range of activities for young and old. On foot or by (e-)bike, you can reach the local recreation area on almost flat paths. The hike can even be mastered with a baby carriage. It takes you past meadows and forests to the emerald green Verwallsee lake. In addition to fun and action in the EldoRADo bike area, there are also special places of strength for those seeking peace and quiet in the valley.

Miracle hiking trail

Recharge your batteries in the middle of a huge edelweiss blossom? This is no pipe dream, but actually possible in summer in St. Anton am Arlberg. Right next to the Sennhütte, where the external WunderWanderWeg trail begins, more than 100,000 edelweiss grow on a recognized energy site from July - in the form of a single oversized flower. In the middle of it all are wooden loungers for resting and recharging your batteries. The edelweiss has always been a powerful symbol in the Alpine region. In 2017, the giant edelweiss was even entered into the Guinness Book of Records.

Golf

The 9-hole golf course in St. Anton in the middle of the Alps offers breathtaking views. Experts and beginners alike are welcome, and golf schools are available for lessons and golf enthusiasts can improve their handicap on this fantastic course. Enjoy the challenging sport in the midst of the Tyrolean mountain landscape and relax afterwards in the clubhouse or on the terrace with views of the majestic peaks. A perfect combination of nature experience and sport!

Tennis

Dynamic & intensive: Your physical fitness, your ability to concentrate and your tactical thinking will be really challenged - in an intensive match on the tennis court, in singles or doubles.

High ropes course

New forest ropes course in Verwall Experience the new forest ropes course in Verwall! After the storm in summer 2023, which completely destroyed the existing high and low ropes course, the new forest ropes course, which is now located in the area of the EldoRADo and the helicopter hangar, shines in new splendor. A completely new forest ropes course was built and completed in just three weeks. We cordially invite you to test this new attraction free of charge on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 12:00 to 16:00 at our open day. The experts from H2O will be on hand to help and advise you. Come along and experience an unforgettable adventure! Food and drinks will be available on site

Swimming

Enjoy cooling off in the refreshing waters of a natural lake or mountain stream, or splash around in the indoor pool of the Arlberg WellCom regardless of the weather - the main thing is that the water delivers what it promises: pure refreshment.

Climbing

Anyone who wants to challenge themselves physically and mentally has the opportunity to do so when climbing. Whether on the rocks, via ferrata or in the gym - strength, technique and courage are always required.

Paragliding

Watch the wonderful Tyrolean mountains from a bird's eye view and experience the feeling of freedom and thrills - the paragliding experience is something you won't forget in a hurry.

Skiing

Ski tours

There is a wide range of options in our region - from beginner routes to touring expeditions, there are many ways to experience this winter pleasure.

Freeride

Freeriding in St. Anton am Arlberg is an unforgettable experience for all winter sports enthusiasts. The region offers breathtaking landscapes and a variety of untouched slopes that are suitable for beginners and experienced freeriders alike. The combination of deep powder snow and spectacular mountain panoramas makes St. Anton one of the best freeride areas in the Alps.

Family & Kids

Take a break from the fun on the slopes and discover and get to know other sides of St. Anton - this is particularly interesting for families. There's plenty to see and experience here that will keep people talking long after their winter vacation is over.

Funslope

Small jumps and steep turns with embedded snow waves require stability. The 500-metre-long mixture of piste and snow park with numerous playful elements awakens the child in every winter sports enthusiast.‍

Thanks to its ideal location next to two ski lifts on the Rendl, you have quick access to the unique freestyle garden without long queues.

Hopplweg

Learn and discover with Hoppl the ski bunny. Children can learn the FIS ski rules on this slope and look for hidden animals in the Hoppelwald forest.

Cross country skiing

Freshly groomed tracks in the snow, perfect trails - cross-country skiing fans will find a 40 km long, well-developed network of trails in and around St. Anton, inviting you to explore in the midst of a magnificent mountain panorama, from the easy 2 km circuit to the longest route of 22 km. Whether leisurely classic or dynamically sporty - everyone can and should practice cross-country skiing according to their own personal preferences and enjoy it to the full.

Tobogganing

No skis, no snowboard, just a wooden frame and runners - whizzing down the mountain on a sledge is great fun for young and old alike.

Ice skating & curling

Feel the freezing cold winter air on your face and do a few pirouettes across the ice at a brisk pace. And enjoy a cup of hot punch in between. This is what makes ice skating fun.

Winter hiking

Jacket, hat, gloves, boots, possibly even snowshoes - and a beautiful hiking route through the snow-covered valley. Sometimes that's all you need to recharge your batteries.

Winter via ferrata

An adventure for experienced alpinists: climb the winter via ferrata on skis/snowboard and then enjoy the descent into the valley. Not for the faint-hearted.

Indoor activities

History, sport, relaxation - there are plenty of indoor activities on offer in St. Anton. There's something for everyone here who is looking for interesting vacation experiences regardless of the weather.
