The trail running event is organized and run jointly by the tourism associations on both sides of the Arlberg. The event is supported by the experienced agency Plan B, which is responsible, among other things, for providing technical and organizational support and ensuring the race runs smoothly, and has already successfully organized events such as the Dynafit Transalpine Run and the Zugspitz Ultra Trail.
At the Arlberg Ultra, participants can choose from a variety of distances: 100 K, 80 K, 60 K, 40 K, 25 K, and 10 K. The courses follow the Arlberg Trail long-distance hiking route, combining a athletic challenge with the unique alpine landscape of our region. In 2027, the finish line for all races will be in Lech; in 2028, it will be in St. Anton am Arlberg. After that, the finish locations will alternate annually.
The starting locations vary depending on the distance and are either in St. Anton am Arlberg or Lech. The Arlberg Ultra is an event that is a perfect fit for our target audience and further highlights the importance of summer in the Arlberg region.
As a new highlight on the summer event calendar, this event will provide a significant boost to the region’s positioning as an Alpine outdoor and trail running destination.
As soon as more detailed information about the event is available, we will let you know.
