More information – Current Situation in Austria
The following measures are currently in effect:
♦Hotels, restaurants, night clubs etc. are open. Find protective measures here.
♦Shops, museums, culture and leisure facilities are open. Events can take place again under strict protective measures. Find more information here.
♦Entry regulations are in effect.
♦For almost all public indoor and some outdoor spaces (hotels, restaurants, events etc.), you will need to show either a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination/past infection. Find more information on these so-called “entry tests” here.
♦FFP2 masks are required for everyone on public transport, in cable cars, and essential businesses such as supermarkets, chemists, petrol stations, banks. FFP2 masks required in all shops and museums for those that are not vaccinated or have recovered from COVID.
♦Depending on the situation in Austria’s intensive care units, stricter rules may be imposed during the autumn.
