4 km lighted sled run from Gampen to Nasserein to the Rodelstall. The 2.5 mile (4 km) run begins on the Gampen and goes down to the valley. The course takes about 15 minutes to complete and has a vertical elevation of 1,670 feet (500 metres). Use of the toboggan run is free. Toboggans can be hired.
The natural sled run is a popular outing destination with locals andguests alike. It starts at Gampen and goes past “Rodelhütte” hut to the”Rodelstall” in Nasserein.
◊ W1 Rosanna River Walk (24 km): A moderate walk along the Rosanna river from St. Anton am Arlberg to Flirsch. Back on the other side of the river. In all villages bridge crossings are possible.
◊ W2 St. Christoph am Arlberg (3 km): Ridgeway at 1.800 m. The alpine trail starts at the “Arlbergpasshöhe” at the peak of the Arlberg pass. It runs parallel to the cross-country trail and leads to the restaurant “Arlberg Thaja”.
◊ W3 Panorama walk Galzig (1 km): Winter walking trail on 2.000 m from the “Galzigbahn” mountain station to the mountain station
of the “St. Christophbahn”.
◊ W4 Verwall (10 km): Follow the “Alte Arlbergstraße” steeply uphill to the “Hotel Mooserkreuz” (recommended with ski bus
line no. 3 to the end of “Alte Arlbergstraße”). Now it is possible to walk almost ﬂat to the “Wagner Hütte” or to enjoy the beautiful trail around the “Verwall” lake. This walk is certainly a highlight in your winter vacation.
◊ W5 Kunstmeile – Mile of Art (1 km): A nice walking trail runs from the Arlberg WellCom centre to the cable car station “Nasserein”.
◊ W6 Around St. Anton am Arlberg (3 km): From the information oﬃce St. Anton am Arlberg through the park, pass by the Arlberg WellCom centre and further along the “Kunstmeile” to the cable car station “Nasserein”. Before the petrol station “Shell” cross the village road and follow the “Auweg”. Go through the underpass, then cross the Rosanna river and follow the “Friedhofsweg” to the train station. Back to the centre of St. Anton am Arlberg you can use one of the two bridges after the arl.rock sports centre.
◊ W7 Gallery (3 km): First, the trail runs parallel to the Rosanna River Walk, later slightly uphill to the ventilation shaft of the Arlberg road tunnel. Now you have a magniﬁcent view over St. Jakob am Arlberg. The end is connected to several winter walking trails.
◊ W8 Rodelalm – tobogganing hut (7 km): Walk along the “Kunst meile” to the cable car station “Nasserein”. Then uphill until the “Nassereinerstraße” ends. Now follow the toboggan run (200 m diﬀerence in altitude). Enjoy a wonderful view over St. Anton am Arlberg and the “Stanzertal” valley.
◊ W9 Jakobusweg trail (3 km): Constant ups and downs. On the sunny side of the “Stanzertal” valley you can walk partly on
the famous “St. James pilgrim route” to St. Jakob am Arlberg. Connections to other trails are possible.
Only with good shoes walkable – partly footpath!
◊ W10 Ganderau (3 km): Flat circular walking trail in the area of St. Jakob am Arlberg to the “Landschaftspark Ganderau” with
connection to the “Vadiesenweg” which leads to Pettneu am Arlberg.
◊ W20 Vadiesen “On the way of St. James” (2 km): Easy walk between the district “Vadiesen” in Pettneu and St. Jakob am Arlberg with connection to St. Anton am Arlberg on the “St. James pilgrim route”.
◊ W21 Nessler Trail to the “Gasthof Almfrieden” (6 km): The walk starts at the Information oﬃce in Pettneu am Arlberg and leads past the “Raiﬀeisen” bank, left along the village road and left again along the forest trail to “Gasthof Almfrieden” (restaurant). Here you can enjoy the magniﬁcent view over the “Stanzertal” valley. “Loops” were built as an alternative and also for snowshoe walks.
◊ W22 Pettneu Zeinsbach (1 km): Connection hike from the district “Reit” to the Zeinsbach river in the center of Pettneu am
Arlberg with connection to the Rosanna River Walk.
◊ W23 Roman Road Pettneu – Reit – Schnann (3 km): A forest trail branches oﬀ to the right, just east of the St. Sebastian Chapel in Pettneu am Arlberg and leads on a sunny, ﬂat circuit through the district “Reit”. After crossing the main road, the route leads to the village of Schnann. Alternative: Walk back along the “Rosanna River Walk”.
◊ W24 Reit (2 km): The ﬂat, sunny circular trail leads around the district “Reit”, east of Pettneu am Arlberg.
◊ W30 Bergwald Trail (6 km): The light forest path leads from the district “Bach” in Flirsch, pass by the Pub-Café “Fuxloch”, in a westerly direction to Schnann “Althaus”. Return via the village road or the “Seelenzoll” to the Rosanna River Walk. Alternative: From the branch-oﬀ “Ansbacher Hütte” a path leads over the district Weidach back to Flirsch.
◊ W31 Pond Egger Weiher (2 km): Starting from the district “Kramategg” in Strengen a forest trail leads to the “Egger Weiher”,
a naturally formed water above the village. Back down on this route you can enjoy a toboggan run – in appropriate conditions.

CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAILS
Cross country ski trails are groomed for classic cross country and skating (free style).
» L1 Trail Stanzertal (22 km): From the trail start at the recycling center in St. Anton am Arlberg, the trail Stanzertal always leads gently sloping along the Rosanna river, with entry points in all villages of our holiday region, to Flirsch and back again. We ask for caution in a blind bend shortly after the ﬁrst kilometers!»
» L2 Trail St. Christoph (2.5 km): Circuit at 1.800 m. Short ascents and descents. Good meeting point with alpine skiers on one of the sun terraces of St. Christoph am Arlberg.
» L3 Trail Verwall (10 km): At the Arlbergstraße the Verwallweg branches oﬀ opposite the hotel Mooserkreuz, where the start is
after 200 m. The trail leads through the romantic Verwall valley and surrounds the lake Verwallsee. Demanding, scenic trail. Constant change between ascents and descents. In narrow sections where there is only one classic trail, we kindly ask skaters to be considerate. Stop for a rest in the “Wagner Hütte”.
» L4 Trail Ganderau (3 km): Easy trail, ideal for beginners and inexperienced. The start is on the eastside of the hotel Tirolerhof or at the ﬁre department in St. Jakob am Arlberg.
» L5 Trail football ﬁeld Pettneu with night cross-country skiing (2 km): Easy, ﬂat trail from the Wellnesspark Arlberg-Stanzertal in Pettneu am Arlberg westwards, through the Rosanna stadion at the football ﬁeld. Night cross-country skiing with ﬂoodlight: from December until March, every Monday and Friday from dusk until about 9.30 pm.
» L6 Trail Pofel (1.5 km): In Pettneu am Arlberg, east of the Wellnesspark Arlberg-Stanzertal between the Rosanna river and the
expressway, with ascent and descent.
» L7 Trail Reit (2 km): Easy, ﬂat circuit, located east of Pettneu am Arlberg, with connection to the Stanzertal trail. Ideal for training.
