COVID-19 Basic Measures Ordinance for summer 2022

  • For the summer 2022 there will be far-reaching easing in the tourism and leisure industry, gastronomy, tour operator and travel industry with the FFP2 mask requirement

  • 3G regulation and the validity of the “Green Passport” will be extended.

  • FFP2 masks are only compulsory in highly vulnerable areas (e.g. hospitals), on public transport including stops
    and in customer areas of essential trade (e.g. pharmacies and in food retail).

  • There is therefore no general obligation to wear an FFP2 mask indoors, only a recommendation to wear an FFP2 mask.

  • There is also no FFP2 mask requirement when using coaches and excursion boats, as well as cable cars
    and cogwheel railways – in contrast to mass transport.

  • The 3G rule as access restrictions in night catering, stand-up catering and bar operations will be lifted.

  • The period of validity of the third vaccination is increased to 365 days – (i.e. from nine to twelve months)
