COVID-19 Basic Measures Ordinance for summer 2022
For the summer 2022 there will be far-reaching easing in the tourism and leisure industry, gastronomy, tour operator and travel industry with the FFP2 mask requirement
3G regulation and the validity of the “Green Passport” will be extended.
FFP2 masks are only compulsory in highly vulnerable areas (e.g. hospitals), on public transport including stops
and in customer areas of essential trade (e.g. pharmacies and in food retail). There is therefore no general obligation to wear an FFP2 mask indoors, only a recommendation to wear an FFP2 mask.
There is also no FFP2 mask requirement when using coaches and excursion boats, as well as cable cars
and cogwheel railways – in contrast to mass transport. The 3G rule as access restrictions in night catering, stand-up catering and bar operations will be lifted.
The period of validity of the third vaccination is increased to 365 days – (i.e. from nine to twelve months)
